St Catherine’s CofE (VC) Primary governing body is made up of 14 positions, as set out in the Instrument of Government and in line with DfE statutory guidance ’Constitution of governing bodies of maintained schools’
The school’s School Business Manager is an appointed Associate Member (provides financial updates at Resources Committee, and the annual Budget Review/Approval Meeting)
A Chair and Vice-Chair are elected annually at the first Full Governing Body meeting in the academic year
Committee Chairs are appointed annually at the first committee meeting in the academic year
The Full Governing Body meet 5 times per annum and have 2 committees made up of School Improvement (4 meetings per annum) and Resources (3 meetings per annum). Each governor is appointed to sit on 1 of the committees – Terms of Reference are produced to confirm what is delegated to each committee (see below).
