We provide a healthy breakfast to start the day, children can choose from a variety of cereals, toast, muffins, bagels and fruit from the self-service station.
Children have a calm start to the day, with the provision of quiet table games, books and puzzles.
If children are having breakfast with us we ask that they arrive no later than 8.20am, this gives them the opportunity to eat without rushing.
Infant children are taken into their classrooms by a member of staff; any messages from home are given to the teacher.
Junior children go into their classrooms on their own; a member of staff makes sure the children have entered the junior building.
7.45am – 8.45 am – £5.00
We have a planned activity each day although we operate on a free play system, where children can decide what they want to play with from the wide range of resources we have available including: arts and crafts, Lego, Clix, role play, painting, board games and puzzles. There’s also plenty of time for playing and socialising with friends. In addition, we have a quiet area where children can read books or just rest from the day.
Infant children get brought over to the club by their teacher. Junior children come straight over to the club where a member of staff is waiting for them. Children are signed into the club by a member of staff. It is important that if your child has been booked into the club and you do not need the place, please ring the office so we do not go looking for your child, as they may be treated as a missing child and the police called.
If your child is going to a club after school, please let us know so that we can collect them when the club has finished.
At 4.30pm we have snack time, this may be sandwiches, toasties, soup, beans on toast, wraps, fruit etc. this is a snack to tide them over until they get home for dinner.
